About AAA-ICDR®

The not-for-profit American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) is the largest provider of alternative dispute resolution services in the world. Over its 100 year history, the AAA has administered over 9 million cases since 1926, including over 580,000 in 2025, across commercial, employment, international, consumer, and construction disputes.

 

The International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR®) is the international division of the AAA. Established in 1996 and celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the ICDR has administered more than 22,000 international cases involving parties from over 100 countries worldwide. In 2025, the ICDR had 725 international arbitrations and 73 international mediations, with total claims and counterclaims of USD $5.6 billion and the largest claim of USD $514 million.

In 2015, the AAA-ICDR Foundation® was established by the AAA-ICDR to fund projects that promote conflict resolution and prevention in communities across the country and around the world.
